Jim Birnby is a Vice President in the Technology Group at Goldman Sachs Ayco. He is responsible for engineering the software used by Gold Sachs Ayco’s Counseling teams. Prior to Goldman Sachs Ayco, Jim was a Vice President in the Technology division at Goldman Sachs, where he held positions leading the global Storage and UNIX Engineering teams and worked as a network engineer. Before that, Jim held engineering positions at a number of Internet Service Providers. Jim also worked as a science and math teacher at the Bratislava International School in the Slovak Republic. Jim holds a Master of Business Administration from the Stern School of Business at New York University, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan where he held a National Science Foundation Traineeship, and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Tufts University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
