Congratulations to PhD student Orlando Rodrigues Romero for being selected as one of the inaugural IBM/RPI AI Horizons Scholars. Orlando was one of the 11 selected out of 66 who applied.
During the fellowship, Orlando seeks to use dynamical and control systems tools to analyze and design novel and efficient algorithms capable of performing unsupervised classification under non-stationary data sources.
The AI Horizons Scholar fellowship is a joint initiative between IBM and RPI with the purpose of fostering research partnerships between industry and academia. The fellowship recipients (“scholars”) will focus on developing novel methods and technologies in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), as well as applied problems of interest.
